Well the other day my good mate Rob and I thought it would be a great day to head out to an old WW2 prison camp to get some picture’s. Turned out to be a great day with a small tiny cloud, upon arriving to the camp we readied our gear and set a foot. We start snapping away at the first site of the camps buildings kinda creepy but very cool at the same time. spent about 3 hours just shooting away, recording images of buildings in complete and udder disrepair, being further creeped out by many dead crows that were hung on just about every building.
Well after about four hours we were in a building shooting and I must say after rob falling through the floor once really brought home how bad these buildinds were falling apart. I creep into another building where the whole back of the building was missing while in this room my phone rang I answered and as I began to speak I noticed something moving through the big hole it the building. I then immediately notice a shotgun and a man creeping, he saw me and shouted “What are you doing!” I responded with “taking photographs of the buildings!” At this point my heart was moving a bit faster than normal. He then replied “Oh! ok then.” and carried on.
As I turned to my mate who was down the hall this whole time looking at me not knowing what was going on, was then startled by the sound of a shot gun firing, and again. Two shots fired. Did we leave? Nope spent another hour or so shooting. Moral of the story, don’t forget in the moment to ask the guy with the gun if you can have a picture.

Today was a great day to get out and take pictures and well, that’s what I did! Went to a local hot spot for shooting wildlife (with the lens of a camera that is). We saw ducks, swans, and even deer. We hiked about for hours taking pictures of everything that moved and didn’t move After sitting for 20 minutes thinking we had nothing else to see this 12 point buck surprised us being only four yards away and not even noticing him laying in the braken. So we got to work and started shooting away and this chap did not even mind us getting closer for better pictures.

Nothing like a day out with a camera and wildlife

When I first picked up a DLSR I only had playtime in mind, but I have since picked up the bug. I always want to be shooting …

Well I have for while now been wanting to turn this hobby into a way of making money. That may just be in the cards now as I have picked up a studio space, I am hoping to have it kitted out and in use within a months time. How great it will be to have my own studio to use, will be much enjoyed!

Now if only blogging was as much fun!!

Cheers
